One of the most famous historic buildings in the world and are well maintained, can be categorized as one of the most haunted places in the world.
This is because the number of executions, murders and torture that occurred in the tower during the last 1000 years.

Dozens of reported ghost sightings occur in and around the tower.
One day in the winter of 1957 at 3 am, a guard was startled by something falling onto the roof of the post after him. When he came out to see what was happening, he saw a white shadow without a clear shape above the tower. Built in 1829, the structure of the impressive Gothic building nuanced originally built to hold 250 inmates in a separate sel2. However, when active use, the prison can accommodate up to 1700 prisoners crammed into the cells.

Like most places that have a high emotional stress, suffering and death, the prison became haunted.

One of the most famous inmates were Al Capone, who was imprisoned for illegal weapons possession in 1929. During his incarceration, is rumored that Capone was tormented by the ghost of James Clark, one of the people killed by Capone on the massacre that occurred on Valentine’s Day.

The ghost hunters who browse the Waverly reported many strange paranormal phenomena, including voices that are unclear origin, the places with strange cold temperatures and the shadows of unexplained cause. Shouts echoing in the halls of a hospital that has been ignored and they saw a shadow suddenly disappeared.
